Scoob Ice Cream Scoop
Classic and luxurious dinnerware for a modern kitchen interior Enjoy a treat with extra elegance!

The natural flow, layers, and soft curves, with the mixture of sudden sharpness and tight edge dynamics, inspired me to design an ergonomic ice cream scoop.

Ice cream scoops must be easy to hold, They should also cut through the surface of the ice cream well while keeping the hand clean from dripping ice cream.

Exploring organic forms for the scoop. The bowl's shape and thickness are also crucial in smoothly curving out the ice cream.

Testing proportion and ergonomics by creating physical models using form blocks. Making sure the thumb is not dipping into the ice cream while scooping was the most considered element. It should also be comfortable on the hand.

Serax, the handmade ceramic tableware and plant pot brand, inspired me to design an ice cream scoop that also functions as a bowl. This way, users don't need another cup to have a treat.

Coming up with more ideas with dynamic and organic forms, providing enough space for the ice cream.

A refined model of ice cream scoop + bowl = Scoob.
The form reminded a well-made stone tool allowing users multiple ways of scooping and holding.

In the final iteration of the Scoob, I combined all the learnings from inspiration, ideation sketching, and mockups. The product needed a second piece to hold the exterior surface of the Scoop clean for more scoops after finishing a bowl.

Scoob has two components: the Scoop and the Holder.
Scoop is designed ergonomically to cut through the ice cream easily, and the Holder prevents melted ice cream from dripping onto the floor directly.

The long and thick Holder is inspired by ancient Asian plates and bowls with a lengthy straight leg.

The choice of material, ceramic is a porous material that naturally reduces heat conduction and keeps the ice cream cold for a more certain amount of time.
