Crafting meaningful design
Where form, function, and feeling connect
I was born in Seoul, South Korea’s most densely populated and fast-moving city, where I learned to stay aware of trends, adapt quickly, and embrace diversity. Later, attending a boarding school in Jeju Island, surrounded by nature taught me to slow down, observe deeply, and appreciate the quiet power of the natural world. These contrasting experiences—urban energy and rural calm—shaped my worldview and approach to design.
From a young age, I was drawn to fine art, always sketching and creating. But as I delved deeper into fine art, I felt a disconnect because the work often seemed too abstract and subjective. I wanted a creative practice grounded in clarity and purpose.
Discovering industrial design changed everything. I was captivated by how every detail, from form and material to function and even corner radius, serves a purpose. Design balances reason and imagination, turning ideas into tangible experiences. This inspired me to pursue a degree in industrial design.
Today, I design with a belief in the balance of functionality and aesthetics. 실용성과 감성.
I strive to create products that are intuitive and efficient, but also emotionally resonant and memorable. In my process, I consider not just the user, but the entire ecosystem behind a product: the materials, the makers, and its environmental impact.
I design with intention, thinking not only about how something will be used, but how it will make people feel and how it will exist in the world, from first interaction to end of life.
Ultimately, my goal is to create designs that are grounded, emotionally meaningful, and quietly impactful; objects and experiences that fit naturally into life, while offering small moments of joy and connection.
